This first-floor supermarket was expanded in late
2003, and looks very similar to those found anywhere in the USA, Western
Europe, and elsewhere. However, as of May 2004, most Russians in Togliatti
cannot afford to do their weekly shopping here. |
This Russian Orthodox church is surely one of Togliatti's
architectural highlights. Completion of the cathedral has only recently
been completed.
Please notice the scaffolding that is still erected on the far side
of the gold-plated spires (R), and the size of this church in relation
to the high-rise apartment complex located to the right (R).
This church is said to be the second largest in all
of Russia!
